The land adjacent to a rivulet had been gradually giving way during floods, posing a potential hazard to public safety and the structural stability of the spiritual facility nearby.

He immediately directed relevant departments to carry out formalities and approved a ₹5 lakh project to construct a protective retaining wall. Orders have already been issued to award the contract on an emergency basis to ensure completion before the monsoon begins.

It is worth mentioning that five years ago, DC Kangra had sanctioned a fund for the same purpose but remained unutilized due to inaction by a local contractor who after wasting a lot of time did not initiate the construction work and surrendered, forcing the PWD Bhawarna to return the money in November 2024 to DC Kangra. This delay caused significant damage and anxiety among locals.
